Our project

The partnership aims to provide a multicultural context for students to be exposed to different cultures and mentalities, to foster cooperation among students and teachers and to develop activities that raise awareness about media, its role in democracy and its shortcomings in terms of ethics. It is meant to permit further cooperation among students and promote the use of the media in the teaching process. Specific objectives:

• Raise awareness about the importance of critical consumption of media

• Promote media and ethical journalism as a tool to foster responsibility towards society

• Enable students to do basic (mass)media analysis and reflect on and combat manipulation practices

• Foster critical thinking and analytical thinking

• Develop interpersonal and communication skills in multicultural contexts

• Develop intercultural competences and EU awareness

• Boost students’ creativity

• Create an international network of active teenage media makers from diverse European countries

• Create a network of teachers who promote the use of media in teaching various subjects or as an extracurricular activity

The project activities, formal and non-formal, also promote media as a way to participate in democratic life, social and civic engagement.
