Ice Breakers

The hand

All students receive a piece of paper on which they draw their hand. Then they write different pieces of information about themselves on the five fingers.
1. Your country

2. Your favorite food

3. Your hobby
4. The best thing about Erasmus

5. Your dream

All papers are collected, and the teacher now distributes them. Then, students have to find the person corresponding to the hand they've received.

We put all the hands on the wall afterward :-)

Thorvaldsens

This ice breaker is named after the famous Danish sculptor Thorvaldsen. Students pair up. They then look closely at each other, turn around, and have 3 minutes to change 5 things about their appearance. It's all about being innovative. Afterwards, they turn back to face each other and try to guess what the other person has changed

20 wins

Two students compete against each other. The first student to say "20" wins. The student who starts says 1 or 2. Then the students take turns saying a number. You may increase by 1 or two numbers each turn. Whoever says 20 wins.

Tips to the teacher: It's all about mathematics 😉

Tableau

A tableua is an arranged formation of people or figures, for example, depicting a historical event.

Divide the students into groups of about 6.

They will now create a tableau, that is a formation where everyone participates and no one speaks. They should present the value of the Erasmus project - or You can give them another description, fx culture meeting.

They now have 4 minutes to agree on a formation, and then all groups show their tableau to each other.

It's a creative teamwork exercise that often brings a smile to everyone's face.
