Marie Kruses Skole

Marie Kruses Skole is a primary, lower secondary and secondary school, but devided into two institutions: School (primary and lower secondary) and gymnasium (secondary). In the school there are 747 students and 65 teachers, and in the gymnasium there are 421 students and 50 teachers. The gymnasium has five classes per year in the classes 11, 12 and 13.This is a small gymnasium in Denmark, and therefore the students know each other and are friends across class boundaries. The school is known for the high standarts in the subjects and for the good and warm contact between all students and also the teachers. It has been ranked as a top 10 school for the last decades.

Why do we participate?

We share EU (teaching and discussing topics such as tolerance, respect, mutual understanding, focusing on past conflicts among countries, talking about the role of EU in maintaining peace, extremism and its threats to the unity of our community) EU is an impartant topic, which can be difficult to make interesting for the students, because it is so far away, but discussing EU, tolerance and the role of the EU with other young people from Europe will make the topic interesting and relevant for the students. The students are the future EU, so it is important, that the young people in Europe.
